DEBUT SINGLE LAUNCH NIGHT A SUITABLY MESSY SUCCESS...

On Thursday 30th August, Menial Monkey took over Reading's finest boozer The Oakford Social Club to mark the release of Jonny Alford's (and MMR's) debut single.
Support on the night came from London-based songerwriter Dan Chester and Swindon's singer guitarist Rob Colquhorn (who played a fine cover version of 'Teenage Kicks') and record playing duties went to Average Bear and Diradice. Dan Chester
Jonny Alford's headline set saw him and his band playing a mix of tracks from upcoming 'Escape from the Requiem' and a handful of tunes he has written for its follow-up.
Jonny Alford His set was well recieved, especially his now standard set-closing cover version which you will have to see him live to believe...trust us, its worth it!

Big thanks to everyone who came down to the Oakford and made it such a great night...photos from the night can be found here
